Rio de Janeiro will host the 2016 Summer Olympics! This is the first time a South America city hosts it! I did not think it would happen. So exciting, I hope it works for the athletes, tourists and Brazil!!!

Festa Juninas of my Childhood!
Today is S. John's day and for Brazil is a day of forro, bonfires, canjica and quadrilha, similar to square dancing. As we say "Sao Jõao dos meu sonhos!" "St John of my dreams". Festa Juninas of my childhood: very alive in Brazil specially in the Northeast of Brazil! If you want to know the origins of popular music in Brazil you have to experience Festa Junina! It's a day I think about Luis Gonzaga, rei do Baião!
